Both, but this is our installation service — new units and replacements, properly mounted, sealed, drain-connected, and leak-tested. For fixing an existing disposal (jams, leaks, dead motor), see our garbage disposal repair page.
Labor runs $90–$200 to replace an existing unit or $150–$280 for a first-time install, plus the unit itself ($90–$250) if we supply it. Dishwasher hookup and drain adaptation are modest add-ons.
Stainless grinding components resist Texas hard-water corrosion better than galvanized, and ¾ HP handles heavier use and lasts longer. The modest extra cost typically buys several more years of service in hard-water regions.
If the disposal serves a dishwasher, the knockout plug must be removed during installation or the dishwasher will never drain. Skipping this step is the single most common cause of post-install drainage calls — we always handle it.
